Charts are an inherently versatile format, but because they're so visual people often assume you need to be a graphic designer to pull things off in just the right way. Remember that pie charts only show part-to-whole relationship, so all slices need to add up to 100%. Furthermore, while forcing a line chart to begin at the zero baseline is acceptable, it may not produce the best visualization for your data story.
Or consider using icons for your legend or key instead of text to add an extra layer of design to your piece of content.
